Municipal council
The Municipal Council makes decisions on behalf of the residents of Wageningen. The the Bench of Mayor and Aldermen prepares and executes these decisions. The Municipal Council monitors whether the Bench does so in the agreed manner.
Who is on the council?
Wageningen town council has 25 councillors from 9 different political parties. Each group has the option of being supported by support group members. The mayor is the chairman of the council.

Agenda and meeting documents
The City Council publishes all public agendas and meeting documents in the council information system. Here you can also follow or watch live council meetings.
Council meeting
The municipal council meets every two weeks. We call this the council meeting. The council meeting consists of three parts. The council meeting is public. You can follow the meeting from the public gallery or online at home via the council information system. You can also watch the meeting later.
Registry
The registry supports the Municipal Council. The registry takes care of everything needed to prepare and conduct council meetings. In addition, the registry advises on the handling of subjects and mediates if council members wish to be assisted by officials. The registry also assists the council in communicating with residents and the municipal executive.
Court of Auditors
The Court of Auditors is an independent committee that supports the municipal council in its monitoring task. The Court of Auditors investigates whether the municipal policy has been properly implemented and has had a positive outcome. It also checks whether any money has been wasted.
