• 1st dog: € 86,40 annually
• 2nd dog: € 144,95 annually
• 3rd and next dog: € 197,74 per dog annually
• kennel: € 575,96 annually

• Always send a proof when deregistering. For example a vet bill or a renunciation declaration of the shelter.
• If your dog dies during the year or if you give up your dog then you will be reimbursed for the amount paid in excess.

You do not have to pay tax for young dogs up to 3 months old that stay with their mother, dogs in a shelter and assistance dogs. Young dogs and dogs in a shelter do not have to be registered. You do have to register an assistance dog. When you register, send proof that it is an assistance dog. That way you will not receive a bill from the municipality.

Your dog automatically moves with you when you register in your new place of residence. The municipality reduces your dog tax assessment for the period when you no longer live in Wageningen. Any overpaid money will be refunded to you. This also happens automatically. If the dog remains in the old home, you must re-register it for the dog tax.
