New opening hours for Public Affairs as of 1 January 2020

Appointments for better service

 

As of 1 January 2020, the Public Affairs department will extend their opening hours by one hour on Friday evenings and will no longer close for lunch on weekdays. In addition, residents do not have to make an appointment on Wednesday mornings. Working by appointment means shorter waiting times and better service.

 

Shorter waiting times

Working by appointment as of 1 January 2020 means no more waiting times at the Public Affairs department. Residents can choose a time that suits them best and will be told in advance which documents they are expected to bring with them.

 

The Municipality of Wageningen will continue to offer walk-in hours (no appointment needed) as of 1 January 2020 on Wednesday mornings from 8:30 am to 12.30 pm. This will replace the Friday evening walk-in hours, as the waiting times were too long. Research at other municipalities found that residents appreciate the combination of walk-in hours and appointments, hence the option for Wednesday mornings.

 

Appointments

Residents can make an appointment at the Public Affairs department for municipal products and services, such as collecting a driving license, a passport or an extract from the birth register. Appointments can be made online at www.wageningen.nl or by phone on 0317-492 911. Residents can also arrange other issues online. Appointments can be made on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, on Wednesdays from 12:30 pm to 4:00 pm, and on Fridays from 8:30 am to 8:00 pm.

 

Collecting documents

To collect documents, residents can stop by the Public Affairs department on weekdays from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and on Fridays until 8:00 pm (no appointment needed).
